Due to the acidity of this citrus fruit, lemons can help clean a variety of items in your home such as improving the smell in your refrigerator, keeping your microwave clean, getting cheese out of a cheese grater, clean glasses and mirrors, and even help clean and freshen your toilet bowl. How’s that for some lemon-aid!
Unlike other cleaning products, vinegar does not contain any harmful chemicals to people. Vinegar can help you clean many items in your home or business with the same level as chemical products. It can help remove stains, stickers, brighten your silverware, prevent milden on shower curtains, clean your shower head, remove water marks and many more!
Don’t fear! There are many ways to get red wine out of your clothes or other fabric (furniture, carpet, etc.). To treat the stain the most effectively, tend to it immediately. Start by dabbing it gently with a paper towel, applying some kosher salt, club soda, dishwasher liquid, laundry detergent, white vinegar or some other kind of stain remover. Do NOT put in a dryer.
You can simply take a rag and run it over the sink and counter space. This obviously isn’t a deep clean but it can give a clean appearance for surprise guests if you put in a little elbow grease with it.
One word: baskets. You can quickly throw socks, shows, sweatshirts and more into them and hid them from company to give a clean appearance.
Clean the rooms they will see. Quickly gather items from the living room, guest bedroom and other common area and place them in your laundry room or even the garage. Dirty dishes can go in the sink and you can use the good ol’ water soak to show that you’ve been ‘cleaning.’
You can use dental floss for many cleaning and non-cleaning related tasks. You can use it to slice hard-boiled eggs or cheese. You can cure a squeaky floor by soaking some floss in wood glue and placing it in between the wood planks. Hang frames or ornaments with it.
